Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1997 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora often stylized in uppercase as AURORA is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well received by music blogs. Half the World Away - by Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Katy Perry's endorsement of her song Runaway in a blog post added to the musician's acknowledgement. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering an attic piano and being awed by the sound it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to play music only for pleasure or for the sake of growing, but that she was encouraged to explore it. So she started with her own music. Alongside Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mom encouraged her to play her songs in public, not to gain fame but rather to let others know how important they are and the good they do for humanity. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument when she was six. She started creating music after turning nine. Her family didn't have any idea until she was 14. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. She claims that she simply enjoys writing songs. For her music, is the best method of expressing anything.
