Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for developing the first modern-day investigation of the scientific study of children's eyeswitness memory and child victims as witnesses in legal settings. Professor Goodman has published widely as well as received numerous grants. She has also received many international and national distinctions. Her work has been with numerous governments and organizations throughout the world in studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been victims of the legal system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of a variety of professional organizations, including that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society and the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
